SUN RUN WITH FLEET FEET AUSTIN

Austin, Texas has long been considered one of The United States' premier running cities. Its unique downtown trail system, robust network of active citizens, and deep history of running/outdoor specialty stores have anchored this vibrant running community for decades. Within the Austin running scene, Fleet Feet Austin has cemented itself as the go-to destination for runners. While Fleet Feet prides itself on being the best in class when it comes to personalized shoe fittings, they are not just there to assist with the sale of a running shoe. Runners from all across the Austin area flock to Fleet Feet to take part in their large community runs, educational clinics, and localized event celebrations. On any given day, you can walk into Fleet Feet and find groups of runners gathering at the store just to talk running.

6th August Running, Specialproject

The crown jewel of Fleet Feet Austin's connection to the Austin running community is centered around their Friday morning "CAF Run". This 3-7 mile group run takes place every Friday morning from the downtown location, a quarter mile off the historic Lady Bird Lake Trail.

The route takes runners through some of Austin's most scenic and iconic running views, including a stunning sight of the rising sun over the Austin skyline.

Last week, we had the privilege of partnering with the team at Fleet Feet Austin to showcase the all new Ikoni 3.0 in the very fitting "Sun Run" colorway. During the event, runners were given the opportunity to test a variety of KARHU shoes. After the run, we celebrated in typical Sun Run fashion, sipping on Capri Suns and making new friends. Limited edition Sun Run caps and shoes were also raffled off to some lucky runners.

Fleet Feet and KARHU have a very strong partnership in The United States. In fact, the development of KARHU shoes utilizes millions of foot scans taken inside Fleet Feet stores across the nation. Like the new Ikoni 3.0, this allows our design team to continually refine the shape, structure, and feel of each unique KARHU model. This partnership also goes beyond just footwear.
