    Back in the 1970s Karhu invented the first air cushion construction in the world. It stirred the attention and was copied by many prominent shoe companies. One of the most iconic air cushion shoes was the Albatross 82. A lightweight runner which appealed to both men and women. Karhu reaches back in to the archives to launch an exact replica of the iconic model.
    The Karhu Albatross 82 deep navy/white became a permanent colour combination in the Albatross 82 collection.

    Size guide

    STEP 1

    Place a piece of paper on the floor with one end against the wall. Put your foot on the piece of paper with your heel against the wall.

    STEP 2

    Take a pencil and mark the end of your longest toe on the paper. Repeat for your other foot.

    STEP 3

    Measure in cm from the wall (heel) to the longest point (toe). Take the larger measurements. Than take what you measured + 0.5 CM and compare it with our shoe sizes in the size chart.

    A Comfortable Walking Show

    This shoe is very different than the 5 other pairs of Karhu shoes that I currently wear. When going out casually during the evening, going shopping, visiting informal restaurants in the neighborhood, this shoe is very comfortable and easy on my feet. The only difficulty is getting in and out of the shoe. I actually have to use a “show horn” to get them on. I tried changing the laces to a thinner style; however the problem did not go away. Once in the shoe, it is very comfortable. My other Karhu shoes are perfect for more intense walking for longer distances. The toe box in Karhu is perfect for my feet.

    Very pointy

    The shoe is made for elongated toes and mine aren’t. What I like: the sole is fairly flexible and the shoe is low er to the ground than most.
